Both Reiss Nelson and Emile Smith Rowe are sidelined with injury despite Nelson returning to full training ahead of the loss to Everton last week. Smith Rowe, who is also out with a thigh injury and will not participate as confirmed by Arteta in his pre-match press conference.

This could give young Amario Cozier-Duberry a chance to make his Gunners debut. He was on the substitute bench against Everton at Goodison Park. Cozier-Duberry has been seen again this week training with the first team.

The 17-year-old has been on the bench for three senior games this season but is yet to make his Arsenal debut and could get his chance against brentford.

Cozier-Duberry was among several youth players to go with the first team when they visited Dubai during the FIFA World Cup in December.

Arsenal won the Dubai Super Cup during this mid-season training camp and Arteta was very impressed with the youth players who took part in the tournament.

“Those under 18, 16 and 21 maintained the level and standards that we need. I think we competed very well against a very, very good team.”

“Arteta has a great track record of developing youngsters and turning them into Premier League regulars, and if Cozier-Duberry performs well, he could be Arsenal’s next big star.”

However, Arsenal look confident as they currently sit at the top of the Premier League table. With 17 more games to go, the Gunners are favorites to lift the trophy.
