Ivory Coast suffered a 5-0 defeat at the hands of 2010 FIFA World Cup finalist, Netherland in an international friendly played at De Kuip on Sunday. Goals from Bayern Munich star Argen Robben, Tottenham’s Vincent Janssen, Joel Veltman and Davy Klaassen did justice to the duel.
Unknown Ajax defender Joel Veltman was the star of the match as he netted a brace to help his side to the trashing of the the West African side.
The defender scored the opener with a header from the centre of the box via a corner kick, before Argen Robben doubled the lead with a penalty.
Veltman scored his second of the game and international career via a corner yet again.
Davy Klaassen and Vincent Janssen completed the rout with a double quick fire in the second half.
