Tianjin Teda and Shanghai Shenhua faced off in the Chinese Super League on Friday in a league game which ended 2-1 in favour of Tianjin.
However, the most fascinating outcome of the match, especially from a Nigerian perspective is that all goals scored in the match were from Super Eagles strikers.
Obafemi Martins scored the opener while Brown Ideye netted a brace for Tianjin Teda to complete a brilliant comeback for the home team.
Martins scored the opener in the 11th minute to give the visitors an early lead.
The hosts pulled level in the second half of the game through striker Brown Ideye but the Nigerian showed he wasn’t done with Martin’s club as he netted what proved to be the winner in the 89th minute of the encounter.
The win moves Tianjin Teda up to 8th position on the log after playing 11 games.
Brown Ideye has now netted four league goals for Tianjin, the same number of goals scored by his compatriot Obafemi Martins for Shanghai Shenhua in this campaign.
Meanwhile, Tianjin Teda and Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel was unsurprisingly missing, as he continues his rehabilitation from injury.
