Hibernian have completed the signing of veteran Nigerian defender Efe Ambrose on a two-year deal.
The 28-year-old was officially a free agent on Thursday and Hibernian were prompted to snatch up the former Celtic loanee.
Late last season, the defender was loaned, from Scottish giants Celtic, to English Championship side Blackburn Rovers and he contributed to their promotion to the Premiership.
With the new contract Ambrose just signed, he would claim United Kingdom nationality if he eventually runs out his contract as it it is the norm for anyone that lives in the the country for five straight years.
He was recently scouted by top clubs which include Standard Liege, FC Schalke and Vancouver Whitecaps for a move.
