Yesterday we discussed about the race for the golden boot across all the major leagues in Europe. So we won’t dwell on that today.
The most lucrative warfare in The Premier League tomorrow will be that of The Champions League spots between City, Liverpool and Arsenal.
City need at least a point against a Watford side that haven’t defeated them for over 28 years.
A draw wouldn’t guarantee Liverpool Champions League action next season. Considering The Reds annihilation of a formidable West Ham side, a victory for Liverpool against Boro doesn’t look far fetched.
The Gunners on the other hand don’t have their destiny in their hands. They are condemned to win at all cost against an Everton side that have won only four times away from home this season. They will then hope for Liverpool to drop points in their own fixture.
We move on to the battle for supremacy between the sticks.
It is one battle that most football lovers aren’t aware of. While some are of the opinion that it is of little or no significance.
The contest is between Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris. The pair have kept 16 and 15 clean sheets respectively.
Lloris’ has been in excellent form for Spurs in front of goal, conceding the fewest goals in the league for a second year running.
Courtois has got a slight edge over his counterpart, as blues manager Antonio Conte has made it clear that the team would do everything possible to ensure he clinches an award he has never won in England.
Note that neither of the pair have won this award before.
