Washington Spirit’s striker Francesca Ordega fired a brace for the club in their win against Sky Blue in the National Women’s Soccer League on Sunday.
The Super Falcons forward scored twice (in the 6th minute and the 56th minute), assisted Havana Solaun and forced Erin Simon to score an own goal in the thrilling match that ended 4-3 in favour of the Spirits.
She produced a woman-of-the-match performance to move lift the club up to seventh place in the league.
Ordega was subbed off in the very last minute of normal time by Lindsay Elizabeth Agnew.
The Nigeria international has so far made four appearances for Spirit and the brace were her first set of goals for the club. She has thus, scored two goals and assisted once in a total of 265 minutes.
