Corruption Charges: FIFA to stop funding of 1.5 million dollars to NFF

FIFA will stop disbursing an annual grant of 1.5 million dollars to NFD account after finding “traces of corruption” in the Nigerian Football governing body.

This is due to the fact that the NFF have hard issues with their account of the money and FIFA has told them to “straighten their financial records”.

NFF received the damning letter by FIFA this week and it was signed from the office in charge of the national associations.

FIFA member-associations including Nigeria began to receive increased annual grants under new president Gianni Infantino.

Previously the associations were paid $250,000 per annum.

But this has since been increased to between $1.2 million and $1.5 million to each FA.

This is a huge blow to the acclaimed broke Nigeria Football Federation.
