accoding to report from dailystar, Arsenal new signing Cohen Bramall will be moving straight into the first team.
It was thought Arsenal saw the Hednesford Town left-back, 20, as a man for the future.
Bramall currently plies his trade in the seventh tier of English football.
But insiders to the move say that’s not the case and that his chance could come sooner than expected.
A well-placed source said: “Arsenal fans will be wondering ‘why are we signing someone from non-league?’
“Well, it’s not as simple as saying he’s from non-league so mustn’t be what we want.
“Nacho Monreal and Kieran Gibbs are ahead of him but there aren’t a load of left-sided players at the club.
“Cohen has been training with the first team – Ozil, Sanchez and co. He hasn’t been out with the reserves and he’s met all the first team players.
“With only Nacho Monreal and Kieran Gibbs at left-back, he’s only an injury or suspension away from a big chance.”
The transfer is expected to be ratified tomorrow and will be announced this week.
Bramall was offered a trial at Arsenal just before Christmas.
Club chiefs were so impressed that they only wanted him to return home for Christmas for one day – before getting him straight back to London Colney.
Bramall has agreed a two-and-a-half year deal with Arsenal paying Hednesford £40,000 to get him.
