Nigeria Super Falcons claimed a record 8th African Women Cup Of Nations after Desire Oparanozie’s late solo strike gifted Nigeria the trophy.
Desire Oparanozie who scored in the semi final versus South Africa was again the hero of the day as the Super Falcons defeated the Cameroonian side they defeated in 2014 in the final.
The host nation came into the game with so much confidence playing in front of their fans Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo, Yaoundé.
It is a repeat of the 2014 final in Namibia when goals from Asisat Oshoala and Desire Oparanozie proved decisive as Nigeria won 2-0 against Cameroon at the Sam Nujoma Stadium, Windhoe.
